I've got a 2022 GT on order and a friend has offered me his old Roush CAI and a Velossa Big Mouth for a couple of 6 packs of beer.

He has a 2016 so it's the old open lid Roush.

My question is will it fit?

I know the 2018+ stock box is probably just as good. But for a bit of noise and better looks for some beer it's worth grabbing if it fits.
Looking at pictures online I can't see any difference between the lower boxes on the old CAI vs the new one with the lid.

The intake will fit, not the Velossa. You'll need a new tune also as it won't run on your stock one.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure it had the MAF insert with it anyway.

Well yours is a bigger tube, so if anything it might work without the insert. It depends on what the size of the tube is, but again I doubt it would work without a tune on your end.

Ah sorry, I didn't consider there was a difference in intake tube size between Gen2 and Gen 3.
Roush webiste says they are 85mm insert or 105mm without.
I'll have to check what the current cars are.

The 2018+ is bigger and flows more efficiently. You could potentially be losing air flow going to the smaller Roush. But would likely need to tune. Even if free (the tune wouldn't be) I would advise against it.
