I've seen people posting in other threads a wide range of prices. Obviously you get what you pay for and buying low quality vinyl is not a wise idea.

What did you pay a shop to wrap your roof and what brand/quality of vinyl did they use?

UPDATE

Wrap is done, pics and price posted!

My old car (`13 stang) was $180 and not sure what type of vinyl they used.

Might try to do my new car myself. Kits usually run $50-75 bucks. But I might take it back to the same shop and pay the $180 again.

The first quote I've received was $250 using the highest quality 3M vinyl. Seems like a fair price but I need to find some other places and get quotes.

If your looking around $300 it's because its 3M. 3M will last the longest over all the other brands hands down! Any cheap material will last a year top since it gets direct sunlight. Also if you go with gloss make sure you don't use hard bristle brushes at all on it or it will scratch FYI.

I have a friend who has been doing vinyl work on cars for quite a few years and he actually said that 3M is good but not as great as everyone chalks it up to be. He compared the 3M gloss black and the Avery gloss black and the 3M tended to be more brittle and crack compared to the Avery which was very easy to work with. Nothing against 3M but I do believe there are some other better brands of vinyl out there.

I mean there is alot of brands that are good out there! I used to actually wrap vehicle for 5-6 years as well. I'm just not a huge fan of Avery personally. Every shop also has the type of material they prefer so it's also very opinionated. Arlon is a good brand too. More expensive though

$125 for my roof, side mirrors and pieces on the headlights to cover the reflectors. Installed it at my house in Orange County.
