we as the customer always have the right to refuse to pay adm's, the problem there are a decent amount of people who dgaf and will buy regardless. they are also the same people that will bitch about resale value a few years later when the cars are finally selling at or under msrp. Dealers might might have the right to mark up their product but customer holds the money card, we have the power and its a few ruining it for the many. So the next time you want the next halo car, take your time, refuse to pay adm, if everyone stays strong the dealers will have no choice.

ADM has never been supported on the used car market for any of these special edition modern Mustangs except for a very short period of time after their initial release, when everyone wants one. Last year you could get some of your ADM back on a resale of a GT350 or GT350R. That window has been closing for the last few months.

On to the next big thing, the next GT500 or other 'rare' and hard to get Mustang. Arguments will be had in trying to justify ADM on those as well just like the '13-'14 GT500's, Boss 302's and LS models etc. Wash, rinse, repeat....:headbonk:

When I was looking at C6 Z06's, people were paying big ADM's for them at release (2006) and through the first 2 years the prices held strong. Aluminum frame, 427 Motor, incredible Track car and Nurburgring times.

Up until the end of 2007 or so, the $10K ADM's were still in place.. as a matter of fact, I knew someone that jumped and bought one at $10K over. I was so jealous, but I refused to pay ADM. It was right after he purchased his Z that ADM's pretty much disappeared, went to MSRP, and within 6 months of his purchase I paid $8K under MSRP... yep, I paid $18K less for my Z than he did 6 months prior. He ended up trading his Z and ate about $25K in a little over a half a year which is just crazy.

So why do I refuse to pay a big ADM? Because I've seen people get burned.. badly.
