RIP Tuning Exhaust Thread

I thought I would make a thread for our exhaust and include all the videos and information in one place.

As many of you know we designed our Street Exhaust to keep drone out of the cabin without sacrificing flow. We have very high expectations of a high flow exhaust without the side effects that are typically associated with it. This led us to a 2 muffler and one resonator design to create the sound we were looking for. Below are a couple of videos of our street exhaust.

Street Exhaust pricing:
$1379.00 for catted downpipe and full exhaust
$1279.00 for off road downpipe and full exhaust

We are also proud to announce the release of our Race Exhaust. This design removes the middle resonator and gives the Ecoboost a deeper sound than our street version. The major design change is the Y pipe is now in the piping where the Street version has the Y inside the center resonator. Below is a video of our new race Exhuast.

If you listen to it a few times, you can tell that they do sound similiar yet there is a slight difference in tone of the exhaust note. But, I felt the same way as you the first time YellowBee

Right i did notice a change when they revved it. Not much tho.. ): for 1200-1400.. i'll never end up with a exhaust.

The price is actually pretty reasonable compared to others considering it includes a downpipe. Question for RIP, are those examples using a off-road or catted DP?

Brad I don't know if I have bad hearing or something but I really can't tell the difference. Is the race version more raspy then the street version. Is the race version much louder then the street version?

Dan, the race version really isn't any more raspy so to speak but it is louder and a touch deeper tone than our street exhaust. We will be working on getting more videos up this next week that shows the difference. They will both have similar tones as we use the same mufflers on the race exhaust as we do the street exhaust.

The race exhaust will not create any more power then the street exhaust as they are both the same straight through design.

Both exhausts with off road down pipes will need a tune as the throttle will start to close at 3200 to limit the boost and it will also throw a code for the rear 02 sensors. We will be releasing our tune to compliment our exhaust shortly, we are waiting for the pro tuner software release from Cobb. I feel this is the best software available after using many of them on our shop car. We will try to release dyno numbers as well this week.

From my review: The factory turboback weighed in at 76.0 lbs. The RIP turboback (catless) weighed in at 58.2 lbs for a weight reduction of 17.8 lbs.

The design seems really nice but I wonder if they offer just a catback without downpipe because Im not looking to customize that much yet just in case any warranty issues. With just cat back I can always convert back easily. Also would be nice to hear without downpipe

At the current time, the design of the exhaust is not compatible with the stock down pipe. It has been designed to minimize the bends the original exhaust contains.
