I have been looking at this forum for quite a while and I am into deep concave wheels rather than a "flat" looking wheel. I am thinking about tsw interlagos 20x10 wheels and I figured that et25 is gonna look more deep than et40 right? Have been always wondering if et25 are ever gonna cause any problems?

Also, what's stopping people from choosing a smaller offset and what's the pros & cons of different offsets?

It all depends on how they make the wheel. Some manufacturers will have the same level of concavity on the front and have thicker/thinner material at the hub to address offset.

A 20x10 +25 is probably going to poke a decent bit in the rear and not have a lot of room for a deep concave.

Indeed, it is called pad height. Makes for an easier manufacturing process.

Correct me if i am wrong, but to my understanding, if there are 2 20x10 wheels, the one with a smaller et is gonna have a deeper concave is that right?

Entirely dependent upon the manufacturing/design of the wheel. It is just as likely that they will have the same face and the one with the smaller numerical offset will just have a thicker mounting face/pad. It is not possible to assume concavity from the offset.

The offset is wrong brotha you want a 10 et 40 not a et 25. The main thing is this on a forged wheel your correct offset foes play a part in offset.

In cast and rotory forged wheels the concavity is preset on design not offset brotha.

Many times the deeper concave wheels will not clear larger brake calipers as well. Another consideration is that using shallow offsets with wide wheels will cause the wheel to stick out past the fenders. This will require smaller tire sizes to clear the fender, particularly up front when turning, and the tires will throw all kinds of crap from the road up the side of the car because they stick out.

heres what a 10" wide et25 looks like with 285s. theres only about 1/4" poke in the rear and pretty much flush up front. this is on pro kits and camber remained unchanged from stock settings

The car is setup as a low offset front high offset rear, its true you can run the above setup and it looks killer, if ypur going to run a fatter tire then a 285 then i dont recommend it however.
