Do it yourself. I was about to take it to the shop when I decided I'd just try it myself. Much easier than you'd think. Use that money and buy tools that you'll have forever

Experience is more important. I had a friend who has no fear working on cars help me replace the stock airbags on my Lincoln Mark VIII. It was easy for him. I would have had major problems by myself. I understand how to work on cars. But there always seems to be a bolt I either cannot reach or loosen for some reason.

Sounds reasonable to me. 4-wheel alignment is over $100. Leaves about 3 hours labor for the springs. Not far off.

That's a great price. 3 shops here in Southeast Michigan quoted me 500-650, 2 of them being vendors on this forum

I've decided not to install them. That price is twice as much as I paid to have springs and bump stops installed on my AWD BMW.

I care about infotainment
Lol no jack stands, jacks and some sockets and wrenches?
Honestly, I don't want to do installs like this without a lift. Makes everything 1000x easier. But I won't get a lift until I have my own house with garage instead of living in apartments.

the install video is great!! I'll use the money I would have paid to have someone else install them and put it towards purchasing the jack stands and hydraulic jack.

I am getting mine done for $230 not counting alignment... I think that's probably about $100?

Now honestly, I don't know anything about suspension but I'd still watch a CJPP video, buy the parts needed and spend the day or weekend trying to install it or ask a buddy who knows more about suspension and is more mech savvy to help. It'll probably save a decent amount of money and you'll have some experience on your hands/

That's a good price, if I could find a deal like that I might forgo doing my own. Yep an alingnment maybe $80- $100.

Go for it, I got started by replacing a bent front strut on an 87' Escort. Just be careful when working under the car as you'll need a jack and jack stands. Also use care when using the spring compressor.
