"Muscle car" look vs the "Ricer" look.

I spend time here at 6gen everyday scanning the data that makes the forum a great and interesting tool. Thanks to whom ever is responsible.

I feel the trend of cosmetic modification is headed down the "ricer" route. Mustangs are starting to remind me of F&F drift.

This is not a complaint thread as I think it is great that we have such a wide market to choose what we want.

Kudos to skeeter for making his car not look like every other mustang out there. If I go to any type of gathering with other cars I don't want to see everything that looks just like mine, and I will because mine is black. Yellow and red would catch my eye and I like it. The ricer look comes at the fault in my opinion by the manufacturer of the products and the weirdos that like them but do not know any better. They all have their place and for me make for a good laugh. now please excuse me while I verify that my fuzzy dice arrived in the mail today.

I care about infotainment
I think the roush side scoops definitely fall into the rice category.
Doesn't everything Roush fall into this category...except the "Roush"charger?

Stick on side scoops that have zero functionality? You sir are wrong. Every piece roush is definitively rice. except the supercharger
Agreed, except the Fascia, I want the fascia. I see it both ways though........

IMO: Any "scoop" that sticks on and is not functional is Ricey. There is ZERO point of a scoop that scoops nothing

Other people look at it as: it looks good, nobody really knows its not real

I would feel cheesy as hell knowing myself, so could never put it on my car

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuzzy_dice
The actual use of fuzzy dice is believed to be traced back to American fighter pilots during World War II. Pilots would hang the dice above their instruments displaying seven pips before a 'sortie' mission for good luck. It is also speculated that the dice represented a high degree of risk associated with the fighter sorties; hundreds of pilots were shot down each week. Upon returning after the war, many airmen continued the tradition, and in the 1950s, the fuzzy dice became one of the first items sold specifically to be hung from a rear-view mirror.
