This....this whole thread right here is what's wrong with society lol. Why does ANYONE care what everyone else does with their car? That's the whole point of customizing...to make it your own. Why hate on something just because you don't like it? Honestly it's a waste of time and effort.

Two words. Social media.

Since the advent of that tool of the devil, I find (as a manager) that people cannot stay out of other people business because all past time now is spent in other people business. Combined with the fact that now everyone needs instant support from everyone who they perceive to be watching them, and expect people to listen then have them approve or disapprove of any and everything they do.

Really leaves those of us who choose not to live out our lives on social media and the false appearance of friendship that originates there, scratching our heads.

I spend most of my time at work trying to convince people to stop worrying about what others are doing and worry about what they are doing. And it's gotten many many times worse in the last few years.

Naaaa, we use to laugh at this shit to their face back in the '80's long before social media. .

But you're right. As a manager myself, convincing my employees to do their work and not worry about the other guys is half my job!

Please note there are a few compliments on here as well. That is the beauty of the personal opinion. You will find hate and love throughout this entire forum. Besides, I don't think others' opinions really sway one's final decisions on what one wants to do with one's own car.

Clearly people do not care what others think, as evidenced by the 'victims' of this very thread.;)

Me too, that's why I thoroughly enjoy going to local "drift events" or car meets and laughing my ass off at the pathetic cars that show up. Its a good time and the people can't even defend their rides because they're terrible.

We've even got guys wives laughing at our jokes about their POS cars. It's a good time, can't even pay for fun like that.

I started shaking my head after the second week the S550 got in owners hands and they started to cut off the exhaust systems to put something on it what would get more noise to the car. Nothing against people they like more HP but more noise? Maybe a BOV too to add more noise?

I don't know where useless adding starts and useful adding starts. Our son, 18 (likes EVO's and Co. ) first comment after we told him that we ordered the EcoBoost Mustang? "Are you getting a BOV too?":tsk:

No downfall, it's just people are raising a generation of "cry-till-I-get-what-I-want" wimps and whiners. Everyone has to get a trophy.

I guess you'd just have to see some of the local garbage I see. It'd be a pleasure to see ricers and donks. There are extremely lame stance cars and the same people like to stance scooters. They think scooters are cool. I've read threads on the local forum of people spending $5,000+ on a scooter that tops out at 35mph. They are not cool. Just no. :frusty:

I had a $4k sport quad that did 0-60 as quick as some bikes...why waste money on a scooter when so much better stuff is available?

I'm just glad my father raised me right to appreciate decent cars and to save my money for something worthwhile rather than waste it on some garbage little car. And also to not buy into fads.

Anyways:

I thought this thread was all in good fun, but apparently quite a few of you need this... :lol:
