I don't think he's bashing the ecoboost at all. He's just saying that the ecoboost could potentially appeal to a younger crowd with its price point and therefore suffer from immature "ricer" mods as the OP described in his original post.

I'm glad that underglow is illegal here in Ontario ;). Still waiting for those V-tec stickers to pop up though haha.
Funny i actually see more younger people buying the 5.0 V8. And 2nd the V6 is the cheapest price point but he didnt say anything about that car! Problem is the Turbo 4 his hated cause it can make good power cheap and you pay $5 to $10k less for it and it pisses people off. As far as the younger crowd screwing it up i dont see how? All the mods that have come out for this car are really good performance Mods and i have yet to see anybody around or on this forum trying to stick fake cheap corny "ricer" parts or anything else on this NEW performance plat form!

I dunno, do the stick on "vents" and "hood scoop" from Roush count? I love the grill, but the rest of the state 2 stuff just screams riceroni.
I count that as rice...

Haha whoa. not my intentions.
As far as ricing for GT or Ecoboost... well I meant cosmetic ricing. I dont think you can rice out a car performance unless it's got a craptastic exhaust on it. I was thinking more chrome, badges, plastidip everywhere, spray painted hoods, so forth. GTs are not safe from idiots.

I see a lot of 05-09s riced out. 10-12 are kind of getting there, I saw a 45 year old looking man driving a silver 10-12 edition with the hood painted but only the middle section painted some nasty flat black. Haven't seen too many molested 13+ models yet as they are fairly new and under warranty still.

Insurance prices will negate that.

Everyone and their dog seems to want to put stripes on these cars too. Thankfully I haven't seen to many fender hash marks.

The stripes I like, but the fender hash's are not right on Fords, more of a dodge thing.

This ^

I just laughed went it immediately went into a Eco / GT rant, instead of just people screwing up a 550... There will be plenty of 550 owners going for the "herra frush" and "rotsa negative camber", I'm sure.

I've seen posts here of ,"The most beautiful Mustang ever", opened and laughed. Definitely a big difference of opinions of what's cool, even here.

One thing for sure.... I'd much rather see a guy with a bone stock one with a great looking lady mod to the passenger seat representing a Mustang (pics of hot girls are forbidden I guess).... Then a d00d throwing his money with these kinda mods anyday....
