Just a bit of an update on my post above - I got in touch with Ford Australia and asked about which version of Sync we will be getting and they confirmed that it will definitely be Sync 2.

They also confirmed that we aren't getting the option of Recaros and that line lock will be disabled. It'll be interesting to see whether it can be enabled using the IDS.

Don't think many people thought about this but would they reverse the indicator to the right side? Especially if you have a manual it is annoying to have a left side indicator.

Very good point, I hadn't thought of that. I'd hope they do though - they are doing that for our market in the Kuga, new Mondeo and Focus so you'd hope they'd pay some attention to this in the Mustang.

I forgot to mention also that the discrepancy between the website and brochure regarding our vehicles having a rear spoiler is an error on the website - our vehicles won't have a spoiler.

If anyone has any specific questions I'd suggest getting in touch with them via message through Facebook - I've been told they have people dedicated to Mustang enquiries via social media.

That's great news, I'm glad there is going to be no spoiler I was concerned that I'd have to take it off and leave holes in the boot. I wish this whole process was a clearer.

I doubt it. My Jeep has it on the left and it's not too hard to get used to, even with manual transmission. The only mild annoyance is if you have another vehicle with the indicator stalk on the right and you drive them both regularly you find yourself using the wipers a lot in both vehicles.

I currently drive a Euro car with the indicator on the left (and it's manual), I have never had an issue with it. I doubt they would swap it over for our market.

Oh well, no spoiler means more options if you do want an aftermarket one like me, dont have to choose one that uses factory holes.

In the RHD brochure my dealer sent me the indicator stalk is on the left with the wiper control on the right. I'm hoping they'll be the "right" way around when the cars land here.

Also, I noticed a fair while ago that the indicator stalk, wiper control and lighting control switches are pretty much the same as on the Focus.

I don't mind that as they have a nice feel in my wife's car. Early Focus' had the indicator stalk on the left too but this changed about 18 months ago or so.

Does anyone know if the aus spec would be getting remote start? Can't seem to find it anywhere

I'm not referring to push start button. Like starting the car with the key fob without going into the car which the US spec has.
I see.

Well, if it is included would obviously only be for the autos.

I'm still concerned that the rear spoiler is showing as standard on that spec sheet, even though I've read here that it won't be included.

Interesting that the 2 feature/specification links provided on this page differ on the Spoiler
