Hey guys, I've recently noticed a ticking sound while in reverse but really when i'm turning the wheels. I really don't know what it means. Nothing has been done to the car except a res delete and an oil change. Car has 3400 mi but I started noticing it around like 3000. Please, please someone tell me I'm not f'd lol.

Come to think of it, I had that ticking sound in my 2006 G35 for like 8 years, but thought nothing of it. Now I'm kinda scared lol. Any advice is appreciated :fistbump:

If its turning, likely a wheel bearing...pretty common failure for the S550. If it’s from the engine bay, well, lets hope it ain’t what it normally is

A wheel bearing is usually more of a clunk not a tick. The brakes do a lot of clicking/ticking noises when turning or the wheel at a turned angle (such as a sweeping turn) because of the semi two piece rotors. It's the pins slopping around from a tiny tiny bit of play. Which is normal.

You sure? Next time I reverse I'm going to note if it makes the sound only when turning the wheel AND braking, and get back to you guys :D
