Hey Guys and Gals. Grandpa Bill installed his White Madness shifter ball and I believe I either accidentally got some of the lock tire down the shaft too far, causing the reverse lockout to not slide Dow when you shift from reverse to neutral . Soo I took off the shifter ball and sprayed some PB Blaster down the shaft and worked it in. I did not adjust the nut at all. Worked for two days then sticking again. I’m thinking I might have to back off the adjuster nut a few more turns and spray some silicone grease or more BP blaster before I but it back together with the blue lock tit’s. Just checking if any of you guys have had this issue of your reverse lock out mechanism getting stuck and how you solved the problems.
Thanks for all Replies.
Grandpa Bill

I had a similar experience when I changed out my shifter knob. All I did was manually push it back down after going from reverse to 1st and after a few days it started working normally.

Stuck up is better than stuck down. Was it fine before the new knob? Look for wear marks where it goes up into the ball. I would think it is binding in an off centered hole. If that is the case, keep working it a little at a time intil it moves fully and goes right back down.
