Think anyone will come out with a bumper that deletes the reverse light? I think it would make the back of the car look so much better.

That would also make the car quite illegal on the streets lol
Why? There is no law stating you have to have reverse lights. None that i can find anyway...

That may depend on your state. I know Virginia requires it.

Plus it's nice to have a light there to light up the backup camera.

Not the answer you're looking for, but having a reverse light has saved me from backing into more than one drunk college kid/wall/pole. Even if you get a bumper that deletes it, I'm sure that there are other places to mount a reverse light.

I could care less about the back up camera. If you need a camera to back up youre doin somethin wrong! Lol

Can you see a 3 feet tall toddler behind your car without the camera? There is a reason why reverse camera becomes mandatory after 2018.

Rear cameras are just Nanny devices! Any 'real' three-year old would know not to walk behind a car backing up without a reverse camera/sonar system...right?

Update: "I being facetious"...this was a response to the Forum critics who seem to think that every 'new' addition to the automobile since the introduction of the automatic transmission
seems to be a plot to diminish their machismo"

I hope you're being facetious. The backup camera eliminates a big blind spot and that is good thing! There's a lot of dangerously inattentive people out there, and as much as I think they need to wise up, I don't want to see them get injured or killed, especially if they're short!

I plastidpped my whole diffuser and then put anchor rooms' darkest tint on that light. It blends in completely and you don't notice it but it's still there when I need it. It didn't bother me too much but prior to doing that I had more than one person comment on how large that light appeared.

Easy option here.

I think the plasti-dip and tint is the best route to go. Reverse cameras are there for a reason, and I don't care how good of a driver you are or how smart you think people are there will always be idiots and I don't want to have to deal the idiots insurance that walked behind my car when I was backing out.
