Hello! Quick question for the forum. Working with the dealership's Finance Manager for Ford Financing, rates, and incentives. When I placed my custom order back in Oct 2022 for a Mustang GT Convertible, there was a $1,000 "Ford Retail Order Bonus Cash Certificate," certificate number #38150 ("Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 04/03/2023). She stated she only sees a $500 incentive for my vehicle.

I provided screenshots as well as that certificate number to no avail. She last stated: "That number is a program number, a certificate number is the number associated with that program and is given to an individual who qualifies for the program. 1-800-392-3673 is a ford number to call to maybe get a certificate number and if that doesn't work 1-800-732-1138 is Fords Program headquarters that you can call next."

Called the first number and they kept transferring me from department to department. Last one was Marketing Program HQ, who couldn't help me and asked me to work with the dealer.

Anyone else had a similar issue? Frustrated at this point. I understand if she systematically is not able to find this incentive, but do not want to leave $500 on the table.

Thanks in advance.

Might be the specific “from dealer stock” language that only applies for the $1,000 cash? When I ordered mine last year it was $500 off for custom orders (it was $1,000 for most of the year, I caught it when it dropped to $500 for a short time ☹).

If you got an email with "personal offer" there is a sunset date. I routinely got these $500-2000 "private offer cash" offers a few weeks AFTER I had already bought the eligible vehicle. Rather annoying that.

The standard 500-1000'ish "consumer cash/rebate" CAN be applied to a customer order (it was applied to my Brittany) provided there are no "from dealer stock" stipulations.

Lots of times it is vehicle specific too. It may have been $1000 on a F150 or Explorer but only $500 on a Mustang. Ford is really good about adding that into the fine print.

"Dealer Stock" is likely a problem. It doesn't apply to factory orders. If you buy what's on the lot you'd get that incentive. I went through this when I ordered my car. There were incentives for dealer stock but they did not apply to me. In fact there were no incentives at the time for a factory order.
