Arrived 3/17

Here is what I found:

Trunk deck doesn't line up on drivers side

Rear bumper slightly off

Famous rear window cocked

Extra clear coat

Drivers side hood bulging

Of the 10 mustangs in the transit lot mine and one other had the least issues. It had salt from somebodies boots in the drivers floor board and 25.8 miles on odometer. Not sure what they looked for but normal new cars have 3 miles on them at this point for my dealership.

Happy to report

My Mustang was one in the 2/2 hold. I took delivery yesterday 3/24. I am happy to say that after one full day of going over the car, I found only one small problem that the dealer is going to take care of. (Loose leather on side of drivers seat.)
I looked over all the panels, and they were perfect. Checked the paint and that looked great also. One other big concern was the convertible top, and rear window alignment. It was also perfect.
If there was a problem during the long "hold", it looks like it was corrected. I am very pleased with the vehicle. My wife took it to work today to show off to her co workers. (Damn). I was hoping to go for a long drive today and play with all the cool gauges and stuff. This weekend will be claybar, sealing, waxing time. With a cold 12 pack of Shiner beer. (Texas brew).

Well, my car FINALLY came in. Only took 4 months!

Panels: Overall, the panel alignment looks pretty good. The rear bumper to fender gap on the side is a little tight towards the front and "normal looking" at the back. Nothing bad enough to bother me. Looks a lot better than my '05 did. Didn't notice anything up front.

Trunk: The right rear corner is higher than the fender. The misalignment is even more evident when looking at the bottom of the trunk lid. It doesn't line up with the bottom of the tail lights. Also, there was a dent on the top in the same right rear corner where someone must have pushed down on it to try to get it to line up better. (didn't work) The dealer fixed the dent before I left though so no problems there.

Hood/Doors/Trunk: The hood and doors shut very well with minimal effort. The trunk needs a little more of a push than I think it should. Maybe that will get better when I have the misalignment fixed.

Rear Window: I have the usual rear window problem, but it's not enough to bother me. I honestly don't think I would have ever noticed it if it weren't for the forum.

Interior: Nothing mismatched. All equipment looked correct. No blemishes, stains, tears, etc.

Leather (68B): The only issue is one of the upper bolsters on the passenger side seat is loose. There's an obvious "gap" between the material and the foam. Took a picture but it doesn't really show up.

PS: I just LOVE the color of the Guard in that second pic!

I hope you get any small stuff that you want corrected as you see fit.

As I saw in your other post - now that you actually have the car man driving it was worth the wait! I still can't believe it's a Mustang sometimes - they finally built a complete package. When I traded my 2003 Cobra in for my 2004 Z06 I never thought I'd be interested in a Mustang again. The 2015 breaks the mold! What a car. :ford:

By the way...
Mine has a slightly lower left side rear window than right as well. No way am I going to worry about it or let them replace the rear window on my brand new Mustang! Nobody besides us crazies  even notices this stuff, and unless it was leaking or something I couldn't imagine messing with it.

Congratulations again on the end to your long long wait Stang Nut!

The more time I spend with the car tbe less the "problems" bother me. Right now I'm thinking I won't have them fixed.
