Hi i feel i need to replace my battery as i am told it is sulphating as a result of me not driving my car enough even though i put it on a trickle charger all the time . The same happened to my FPV GT and when i replaced it with a supercharge battery and kept on the trickle charger that battery was still in it some 9 years + later.
The question is has anyone on here used a supercharge MF55 or MF58 battery and did it fit correctly , as i know fitment into the battery cradle can be a problem.
Failing that can you recommend an appropriate battery with decent cranking power or did your dealer supply an OE one at reasonable cost.
I think low voltage maybe the reason my Active Exhaust ceases working within a minute of startup ( and no i have never touched or replaced any exhaust component so the wiring appears fine ) as i know these cars a re very voltage sensitive.
Any assistance would be welcome especially form those that may have suffered a similar problem. Thank you.

I had the battery checked and it came up very healthy and i have never really had a problem with it as i keep it on trickle charger constantly. I did think it may have been the reason my inactive exhaust notice keeps coming up shortly after starting but i fear that may be another problem and i really didn't want to go to the dealer to have it checked. However i will get them to service it and check the connections over.
One question i would like to know is what readings do you get from the voltage gauge when driving?? After reinserting the battery i had a strong 14v readout constantly both on and off throttle. After the first start it reverted to running around 12-12.5v and only 14v on overrun off throttle. Now all seems to be well (except for the AE ) and the battery seems fine so what readings do you get whilst driving, i'd be interested to know, thanks.

I have had the Century DIN53LX MF for a couple of years now. I often have it on the Ctek charger as it is not driven regularly. Faultless so far. https://www.centurybatteries.com.au/resources/battery-finder/fitment-options/105379
I replaced my original battery(nearly 5 years old) in my 2017 FM with this same Century battery, $200 at Supercheap with 40months warranty. In my opinion it's not worth keeping old batteries in the car and coaxing them along, only to suffer a sudden and unexpected failure. Being stranded with a flat battery is not worth saving a few bucks.

Mine came up fine after it was checked, i was just unsure with the various readings i was getting. I also changed the earth for my trickle charger and it would appear to have made a difference. I had over 8 years out of my last batteries in my FPV that was hooked up to the trickle charger and it was still going strong when i sold it.
