Hi Gang,
Just a heads up - haven't heard anyone else suffering from this but reckon i should share just in case.
2 weeks after picking up my CO GT, i experienced multiple electrical failures. Either the doors wouldn't unlock, or i'd be able to open the door and then the car wouldn't start and the alarm would blow. Or power would cut out completely whilst in neutral. It happened sporadically to begin with, then 3 days into it, it was happening all the time - thankfully by this point the car was parked on my driveway. An absolute PITA.
Anyway, the first 2 times i called Ford Assist and they couldn't do anything because the car started again eventually so they said there is no point them coming out. The final time i just lied and said it wasn't starting.
The AA bloke that came was brilliant, i think he was particularly enthusiastic to sort out the problem because he loves Mustangs
Fault: power cable running from battery to fusebox in the engine bay, travelled under the engine and was very snug against the unit. Vibrations from the engine led the securing bolt on the fuse box undoing itself, and hence the loose connection. He tightened it back up, and secured the power cable away from the engine with a zip tie.
Its been 3 weeks and not a problem. Check the nut regularly and it hasn't loosened.
Hope this helps anyone else out there.
1st photo - fuse box, its the cable on the left, first of the three.
2nd photo - zip tie above the white clip middle of the photo
