removing clutch spring!?

Basically. The video I followed used some pliers to clamp the middle two spring parts, then just slid it out to the right. Helps to have a second person to depress the clutch. Mine popped out pretty violently and hit me in the face, so beware of that, lol

It's about the same size. If it is smaller, it isn't by any significant amount. I still have mine if you want a pic or something.
