Will removing the clutch spring be harmful in anyway?

I just removed my clutch spring today, and I am very pleased with the results. However, I saw a post about how the clutch spring is necessary to keep your clutch from accidentally riding. I also saw one about how the clutch spring could save your transmissions if it failed or something like that (wasn't really paying attention). I just want to know if i am really risking damage right now.

The tendency for more tire wear is all I can think of. :headbang:
Just keep your foot off the clutch pedal when your not changing gears.

If you consider a better driving experience and connection with the car a downside, then sure it will be harmful. All jokes aside, no it will not be harmful. A quick Google search will show you that this simple mod has been around for many generations and not just Mustangs.

Put your foot to the floor and keep it there. Problem solved.
