Do you know you can open the windows as well before you get it. Do that by pressing the unlock button for a second and then press it again and hold it until the windows roll down. I do that then remote start the car by pressing the lock button and start button twice. Just opening the windows for a few moments lets a lot of the heat out.

You need a USB dongle to attach to you OBD-II port, and the software is free for a month IIRC. As far as the warranty is concerned, Ford would have to prove that you changing the blinker pattern caused an engine failure :giggle:

A warranty can't be "voided". There are consumer protection laws against that. What can happen is that if you modify a part of the vehicle, the modded part is not covered. Forescan doesn't do anything invasive enough to result in a denial of warranty repair claim.
Thanks for the info, I’m going to check it out.
Wonder if speed limiter can be changed or probably need tune for that.

I believe my tune from Lund did get rid of that but I have no plans to go 150 so I’ll never know. :giggle:

Silly question. I bought my car used and the remote start has never worked, but my factory warranty is about to expire next week and will probably take it to the dealer and see if it can be fixed. But anyway, if you remote start, it won't do the obnoxious double horn honk right? I haven't done the forscan deal to disable that and every now and then I forget and man I hate that.

It doesn’t do it when you remote start it. Only when you walk out of the car with the key. If you start it outside the car it doesn’t do it.
