Hello everyone.
I succeeded installing an amp to my base audio Mustang.
So far, here is what i've added:
- 5 Channel Amplifier (integrated LOC)
- Replaced 4 stock speakers using the same mount
- Added a 12" subwoofer
So far, everything works fine, however I'm having an issue with the remote 12v switched, I seem unable to find one that work just like the radio.
The issue: The 12v switched works just fine, switches on and off with the car, however, when you turn off the car it won't turn off the radio until you open the door, using the 12v switched, it turns off the amp but the radio is still on until the door is opened.
I would like to be able to find a 12v source that does this, so far I have tried:
- The blue and white wire behind the rear seats (turns on and off with the ignition)
- Tapping fuse 33-head unit and 27-amplifier (turns on and off with the ignition)
- Tapping fuse 36-auxiliary chassis power (always on)
- Tapping on the harness below the passenger fuse box (turns on and off with ignition, with a slight delay for the off)
So far I've not been able to find a sweet tapping point, has some found a better way or a better fuse?
