Remote power on...where to tap?

I know it's been said to just tap the trunk wiring harness that goes to the backup camera and it's been said that the wire is blue and white. So I tore into that harness and I discover that there is a white wire with a blue stripe, and a blue wire with a white stripe. I didn't want to cut both just to find out...

So which one is it?

It is the blue wire with white stripe in the trunk harness....BIG THANKS to @Chris@HBH for that info.

Did you use a T tap to tap into it? Im thinking of doing same thing.

Nope, cut the wire then soldered, then heat shrink.
