Remember the 96 Cobra?

So back then, Ford touted the DOHC mod motor for the Mustang, 90hp more than the GT and increased RPM. Sounds familiar!

I just think it's interesting to watch marketing put it's spin on things and how things come full circle. Anyone else have brochures or literature from 96?

i just sold my 96 mystic cobra to help with the down payment on the gt350, all original with 34K miles. i still have the window sticker, build cert and any books i could get my hands on.

My father in law has a 96 mystic cobra sitting in a bubble in his garage, I'm still waiting to take it for a ride. Beautiful car.

The 96 Cobra is one of the most capable monster builds Ford ever put out. Teksid block, forged crank, and 4v B-heads, all capable of 1000+hp. Still planning on pick one up as a project to sit beside the EB.

Had a 98 Convertible Cobra (basically the same as a 96). Loved that car it was a black car/top and saddle leather interior. Total of 61 made in 98 with that color combo.

Was SC'd, Pro-M Mass air tuned for 60lb injectors, Mac long tubes and offroad h-pipe, 2 chamber flowmasters, Maximum Motorsports tubular k-member and control arms, kenny brown subframes, steeda tri-ax shifter, steeda HD UCA's, UPR heim LCA's, reinforced torque boxes, 31 spline axles, FRPP Traction LOK, 4:30's, FRPP AL driveshaft, Eibach springs, light bar, a fiberglass speedster tonneau for when the top was down etc etc ect.

Lost the car in a divorce cause it wasn't my "primary driver".....still full of piss and vinegar bout losing that car 10yrs ago.
