I recently (last weekend) had the Steeda Tri-Ax shifter installed in my 2020 PP2 and I find the noise inside is much louder than I thought it would be. Yes, I knew there would be an increase in noise but most reviewers said it was minimal. This does not sound like a minimal increase, it still sounds as though the gates of hell have opened up when accelerating through 1st and 2nd gear. The Dynamat has been sealed around the shifter base but the 2018+ rubber boot does not fit around the new shifter.

Has anyone found a good way to quiet that area down after replacing their shifter? Is there a material I can stuff around the base, on top of the Dynamat, that might help dampen the sound? I really love the way it shifts now but as my DD the noise is a bit irritating.

Dynomatt is the norm, just pile it up and seal the shifter boot. Don't only put it on the inside of the vehicle, go under the vehicle, and put it in the trans tunnel...
