Red Line...

Hate to bring this debate up but someone is telling me that Redline ordered with Recaro's doesn't get the red door cards.

I swear I have seen owners recently post pictures of their new cars with Redline Recaro's that had the red door cards. I cannot freaking find the threads...UGH...

Any care to help while I am still searching?

We have now seen both. Your photo shows red, the DIB press car in September had Redline Recaros with red door cards, and another member recently posted redline Recaros with black door cards, asking if his car was a freak. Really hard to know where this stands.

I think it looks good with the red, others hate it, maybe Ford changed their corporate mind after the early production cars?

I got my car on 12/19 and ordered Redline Recaro's and I have the black door placards with red stitching. I also have the 68B.

I truly have no idea how they are equipping the Redline interiors.

Damn I like those Todd, would've been happy with either but since I have the red door panels I am used to them and love them.

Guess we're going to have to see if Rachel can help us clarify...

Thanks! I love the red and had my mind and heart set on them. I was shocked when I opened the door. I like them both equally now but really confused at their decision on who gets red and who gets black.

I hope Rachel can confirm as this has to be the biggest mystery on this board that has not been solved.

Cool, that makes us with red inserts unique. After seeing both I think I like the red insert better although it's hard to judge from just pics.

Check out Ford's build and price tool. In the picture, the door trim is clearly red when you select Red Line. I personally would have gone with the Red Line Recaro's if the door trim was black with red stitching instead of all red.:censored:

Watch someone's ebony premier trim Recaro's come with all white door trim instead of black + white stitching.:ford:

I also wonder if someone will eventually get a steering wheel with red stitching too.

I wonder if they just didn't want to make a special panel anymore just for Redline Recaros (black with red stitching) so they changed it to the same panel the main redlines get somewhere during the production cycle. The image on the builder site now is definitely the red panels with the Recaros and I dont think it was always. Makes sense from an economies of scale perspective just to use the same red panels.

It's always been a solid red panel on the build and price, at least once they finally updated it to include the Redline Recaro option.

And mine was built before Todd's so they shouldn't have run out of his style before the solid ones..

I agree with the randomness. Another guy over at SVTP bought a new '15 GT PP with Redline Recaro's built a month before mine and he has the black door placards like mine. My car was built on 11/24.
