I'm 6', 200 lbs., relatively not fat, and have wide "I can't fit into coach seats without becoming aggravated at the world" shoulders... and I find them very comfortable. Alas, I was stupid and didn't spec for them thinking I wanted heated/cooled seats. Heated seats, fine... used rarely where I live. Cooled seats, a total joke and epic implementation failure. Therefore, get the Recaros!

Dont consider it, get the car - its awesome for the price, and alot of fun.

If you use the search function, there is alot of good info on the Recaros.

I did not care too much about them originally, but the car I got had them specced so I ended up with them and im very happy that I did.

They are a pretty costly option here in Denmark, but i'd say its well worth it unless you weigh a bit over 100 kg's, then they might be too small.
I drove in January & February when it was cold and did not miss heated seats too much.

They might be a bit smaller than the regular seats, but the backseats are only good for children - I haul my 2 small kids with no problems though.

If Ford dont have a showcar with some Recaro's, You are welcome to come sit in my Recaro's, I live north of Copenhagen :)

:frusty:Again???
Sorry you feel this way:(
I've seen several threads on the subject, but none that answers my questions.
Have 2 kids that will be useing the backseats and I find the standart seats a Hasle to operate, so are the Recaro's better in this aspect?
My plan with the car would be to take it on trackdays as whell, so modifications is on the list. Therefore it would be a plus if they where lighter.

Ordered with recaros, love them, took on a 16 hour road trip - very comfortable. Go get you an S550 with recaros - you won't regret it.

not sure how the standard or premium seats are but getting things in/out of the back seat with the Recaros is pretty easy. There is a lever in the back that you can pull to release the rear part of the seat seat forwards.....what's nice is you just press the seat back and it returns to the position you had it in. I find it nice so that if I grab something out of the back seat, I don't mess up my seating position for driving. I absolutely love my recaros and wouldn't want a mustang without them, but they really are a love/hate kind of thing. The best thing you can do is go sit in a set to make sure they are comfortable for you. As far as weight goes, base cloth is 50 lbs, I would assume Recaro are lighter but am not sure.
