You know the more I look at them I don't think they're MMD's on the 350. Definitely different though!

The louvers on the GT350 are MRT.

The 350 tech package (not R) is GT_Dave's. The 50YLE is mine. Here's a pic of us test-fitting his louvers on my car while he was waiting for his 350.

I'm not a fan of how high up the Aluminum one is raised at the top of the window, the MMD ABS one seems more level, which is more the style I'm looking at:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/mmd-rear-window-louver-1516.html

Aside from the price being much cheaper than Aluminum, and the style being better in my book, is there a big drawback from going with the plastic?

Also, sorry, kinda skipping around here :p, so these are as easy as like peeling off some tape and sticking onto the back of a clean window? Do they lift at all for washing windows or does dirt just stay in there for all eternity? :p

Thanks for all the answers! I'm really thinking of getting one of these for my red baby.

I ended up buying one of these louvers, but I cant decide if I like it!!! I need your help forum community, what are your thoughts on how it looks?
My worst fear is it looks ricey, I want to be a respected GT driver up here in NH :-). I havent installed this yet, these pics are it just resting on top, so its not as flush as it can be in the top corners...

Sean - I think they're vintage/nostalgic/throwback. Wait until you throw some wheels at her and see what you think! Worst case scenario take em' off and throw them up in the classified and I'm sure they'd be picked up fast.

Those look like ABS Louvers. I have the aluminum ones, but have not installed them. Something about putting strong double stick tape on my window....

Yeah, I think stock height and wheels are killing your ability to pull them off. A slight drop, and some aggressive sized rubber would be a killer setup.

I got my set of MMD louvers in after a couple weeks of back order. I think they may be trying to pump these things out too quick, as the quality control is off. Mine came with some paint or coating flaking off in spots, leaving a discolored plastic underneath.

I was under the assumption these would be molded black plastic without any paint on them.

AM is offering to swap them out or give me credit. If I keep them it'll be a pain in the ass to get them cleaned up and painted. I'd want to sand them down and then paint the whole thing. That's a lot of work for this awkward piece.

I live in FL, and I don't see it standing up to the heat very well the way it comes. Add in some highway/high speed runs and longevity is a concern.

Here's some pics. Thoughts?

That's no good and I'm sorry to see and hear about this. I'm more than happy to have them replaced and set up tommrow if you'd like. I've never seen the coating deteriorate like this so its on the odd side for sure.

Please let me know how I can help be it anything at all!

I emailed with one of the reps and I'll do an RMA and hope that the next piece looks good. I was really hoping for a molded type plastic, though. The coating doesn't look to hold up over time, especially in heat. Have to cross that bridge when I get to it, though!

I appreciate the response on here. You guys are on the customer service.

SR56 -

Sorry about this again. Would you mind shooting me your order number or email address in a PM?

I'd like to get this processed today for you.

It's really odd because I've honestly never see finish deterioration like this in the past so I'm really scratching my head on this.
