Good on you Rick 👍 I'm always impressed by anyone willing to go where they've never gone before regarding maintenance and repair, whether it be minor or significant
Also, the beauty of that besides learning and saving money, is sharing it with others, making it easier for them to go there too
The REAL advantage of the forums for specific makes & models is that you can usually find a post where someone has already accomplished what you need to do or can find help from a member who knows how. That's why I posted this thread.

I use the forums regularly to maintain my "fleet". While money is an issue my biggest problem is the collateral damage that occurs whenever I have to take my car to a garage (dealer or independent) for a repair that is too much for me. So I attempt all repairs myself FIRST unless it requires removing the engine or trans, etc. It saves me plenty of headaches.

Great write up. On my 18 it's the drivers side that don't go all the way without pulling it into position. I'll be adding a styling bar in the near future which will be a good time to address this with the panels off.
