Hi guys, I can't seem to figure out a problem that I am having on my 15 premium PP. I just recently threw on my old wheels and tires from my 13. They are Velgen Vmb5s rears being 315, 35, 20. Now here in lies the dilemma, you can purchase the wheels from velgen 20x10.5 +45. Or you can get them machined to +50 from them which I did. Now the passenger rear wheel sits perfectly flush with the fender. The driver rear sticks out almost 1/2 inch. I measured the wheels from the hub and they are both equal. So with both wheels being the same offset and equal from the hubs, what else am I missing?

You don't by chance have a hub ring in the side that is flush do you? It may not be clearing the hub and thus pushing wheel out further than it should (at will ultimately let the lugs come loose).

Can you use a plumb bob to measure?

We are having some issues with developing some parts right now (subframe to chassis bushings/inserts), actually. Our rear IRS Subframe/Cradle is either tweaked (with 8 miles on the car) or it has a ton of OEM tolerance that has stacked up and caused issues. We cannot center the mounts to the chassis to install a set of our bushing kits. Even the poly won't deflect enough.

I also noticed the Toe Links were set much differently from side to side.

I am pretty sure there is a ton of tolerance accounted for in this system. The slots/eccentrics for toe and camber adjustment are actually much more than what we anticipated. There is WAY more adjustment than what most will need in this system.

Unfortunately, the Subframe mounts are not adjustable. lol

Yeah what would you like me to measure. I used a scale and measured exactly .475 from the fender to the tip of the tire buldge. The other side is perfectly flush with the fender. Also I measured the wheels from the hub out and it was only .007 thou difference so that's not a problem. The problem either has to be a messed up tire which rides nice or a sub frame location issue.

You need to eliminate the tire as being the possible culprit.

The best way to do it, is to tape a string with a weight on it....to the center of the fender (upper) lip. Let the string hang down. When the string settles (no movement) measure from the string to the wheel lip. This tells you exactly how "centered" the wheels are from side to side, within the rear of the car.

If the tires stick out too far, and get in the way of the string.....then you have to get a little creative. I use a modified "square" (attached two, and did some cutting) to place on the wheel lips....but that may not be necessary.

Hopefully it's something simple.

Maybe camber is off a degree.
you can use a smart phone and board for a quick check.
As I'm sure you know, they should be similar angle and both leaning inward, negative camber.

or
Rotate rear tires left to right. If the problem follows rim & tire, it's your rims/tires.
