Looks good! Definitely something I'd like to pick up, just not sure I agree with how much the factory piece is.

I like it, but honestly it's not worth the $$. The bolts are about $12.00 list for a pack of 4. The foam blocks that go under the RSD are $57.00 each list. Requires 2. Save your money and don't buy them unless your picky like me and want it like OEM. While I was installing it, I noticed that the seat backs where the striker is has 2 bolts on each side, the outer bolt is used to hold the RSD in place, you have to put a hole into the package tray trim. I'm wondering if the R has a different trackage tray trim because the non R has the child seat hooks into the package tray time.

For anybody who is curious, the seatbacks are 11lbs each and the base is another 10. If you toss in the hardware (seatbelts, etc.), the weight savings from removing the rear seat base and cushions is ~35lbs.

I can't comment on what the delete kit weighs. I'm DIYing.

The GT350R bezels are just regular bezels. They have the slot in them. But I bought another set of seat belts because I want to keep the original pieces so I can always put it back to original if I ever have to. I couldn't get the original bezels off without marking them up, so I bought new ones and I'll just cut the belts off and use the bezels. You can't buy just the bezels without the seat belt. Unless you find used ones or go to a salvage yard.

You can't sit on it our you'll break the RSD. It's made of a recycled foam plastic shell and then covered in carpet that matches the package tray.

So it's probably quite a bit lighter then all the aftermarket rsd kits. I kinda assumed it was a thick fiberglass or composite.

Is the tray different than the R model ? Your picture you took of your car, looks like the tray extends over the top of RSD. Or am I seeing things ?

I have the gt350R RSD from ford. The package trays are the same except the R has one child seat anchor which I find strange because no way you'll ever be able to put a child seat in the back of a R. Why they didn't just use the standard package tray with 2 anchors is beyond me. But they are identical otherwise. My pic and the pic of the R is a shadow and light issue. But they are the same.

I was able to find the factory RSD at a decent price. Not having the bezel to fill in the rear seat belts doesn't really bother me. I'll fabricate something to clean up the appearance.

Or if you dont ever decide to install the seat belts ever again you can't cut the belts off and reuse the bezels.

I own a automotive repair business. I get 35-40% off at the dealer. I don't have the invoice in front of me I'm not at the shop at the moment. But if memory is right I think the seat belts listed for around $96.00 each. I'll confirm that once I get to the shop. I'm very picky and wanted new bezels, but I'm sure used ones could be found also. Also the foam blocks for the RSD is a waste if your not picky like me. To be technical, the only difference in the GT350 and GT350R package tray is the GT350 has 2 child seat anchors and the GT350R has just one on the right side. :shrug: not sure why ford did this. Another waste of money.
