So, I know when you install a RSD on 21+ cars, if you don’t leave the floor seatbelt buckle, it throws a code. I’ve read some can change that in forscan. Though I found this interesting, the seat delete is listed for years 2018-2020 on FP website. The manual listed on that part page lists 2018-2020. Though there’s another manual for the install that lists the years as 2015-2021. Same part number. What do you guys make of this? And has anyone found a way around leaving that belt buckle attached on the floor? Both manuals attached.

Those documents were written in 2020 and 2021 respectively, could explain the year limitation. I did a RSD on my 2023 and I just simply removed the sensor from the seat buckles and taped them to the harness that runs under there. I’ve never gotten a single alert about backseat stuff.

How hard is it to remove the sensor from the buckles? Can you put it back?

That was 3 years ago so I don’t remember. I wouldn’t plan on them going back together easily. You could probably scoop up a used pair on eBay and preserve yours.
