Its OK, unless we don't want the cut of the rotor to access cool air, right? the opening of the veins should capture new air, no?

Looks like I arrived with the right handle haha

It happens, just ask my first car with a BBK (bought it that way though). Didn't know til my first trackday that they were backwards. And even swapped last minute to forwards, they still had pad deposits after 3 laps. Rotora is show, not go... but, lesson learned.

John, your first picture of the Girodisc's in the box, the one with the right tag on it. It is correct. The leading(outside) edge of the slot should contact the pad first. Curved vanes should appear to run backwards (like the air is folding over the vanes) from the outside. I can't see the picture of them on your car but if you put them on by the tags you had it correct. People always think the outer edge of the vanes catches the air, its opposite. Don't get hung up on the slotting, vane direction dictates installation. Install them like THIS (for curved vanes)

Car looks awesome with them fitted!

Can you tell me after you fitted the rotors could you feel any improvements from the unsprung weight reduction and if so how did things improve would you say or could you not really tell any difference?

One more link - directional vanes in a rotor are just an automotive application of a centrifugal fan. In a rotor the whole business rotates, not just the vanes but the "sides" as well. There is no peripheral containment (save, perhaps, for some effect from the inside of the wheel barrel) making the outlet "nozzle" everywhere around the circumference.

I'll be honest, I did not have the opportunity to focus distinctly on the rotors / wheels difference as so much was going on with the car. I can say that I was not able to register markedly better performance acceleration-wise with the butt dyno... I was enjoying breaking in the rotors though. Should be interesting to see if this was a good break-in with them in reverse orientation :headbonk:

edit: I will break in fresh pads and treat it like a new break-in of rotors as well, at time of correcting the orientation.

YOWZA!!! $700 is a lot of coin for rear rotors. Not to mention $1,000 for the fronts.
Fronts get cheaper to replace, rears look nice plus dropping unsprung rotational mass is my favorite mass to drop.:thumbsup:

edit: plus I am adding some (good) weight... To me, track car weight reduction is like gospel so any easy bolt-on weight reduction is worth considering...

I ordered a full set of the slotted only Baer Eradispeed + rotors through Lethal. They are in production now and I should have them by the end of the month hopefully. I saw these on awesome Pozzi Camaro so figured if they are good enough for that car, they're good enough for me.

Lethal has a forum discount too.
