Anyone have issues with the M10x1.5 rear lower shock bolts? They were a real booger to get out, and are not cooperating on the way back in. Looks to be an over abundance of thread lock, and being threaded in the cast aluminum control arm has me nervous. Definitely not cross-threading. Attempted to run a tap in the arm to clean the threads, but is also started requiring a great deal of effort.

Plan B would be to replace them with a bolt/nut. Already had one bolt twist off in the arm, so that will be a real joy to address.

Anyone have this issue?

Got a set of chasers from the Twilightzone rent-a-tool. Worked like a charm. Whatever thread lock Ford uses is pretty damned impressive.

I also stumbled across the same issue when I replaced my springs last month. It made me nervous at first, especially the amount of force to remove the bolts and to reapply them back. I just made sure I didn’t cross-thread them and torqued it back to 35 ft/lbs and there were issues. Good luck with yours!
