Hi all, I want to mount a rear facing dash cam on my back window, and was wondering if anyone already did it and if so how you ran power to it. Is there a switched power source somewhere in the back I could tap into for a clean install? I don't want visible wires hanging all over my car.

Some dual camera set up only run one wire to the back camera so you only need to worry about the front camera getting power as it feeds power to the rear cam.

You will need to run the power line, usually a micro or mini USB cord, from the rear to to the front along the the edge of the headliner. Most dual cam kit have a very long cable. Very easy to to do.

It's not a dual cam, I already have a regular front facing camera on my windshield and was thinking of installing a 2nd one on the rear window. My front camera is powered by running the wire from the fuse box in the passenger foot area along the headliner to the camera. I guess I could run a second wire from the fuse box along the headliner from the front to the back but I was wondering if that is the best way or if there was a way to tap into some power source somewhere in the back.

AFAIK, there is no constant 12v or switched 12v circuit that runs to the back of the car. Closest 12v power source to the rear would be the fuel pump relay under the backseat, behind the driver, but frankly, I wouldn't mess with that. Better to just run a separate, properly-fused wire and do it the right way. For that low of a power draw you could get away with a piece of 18-gauge speaker wire, which is nice and thin and can be easily tucked away. Just be sure to fuse it close to wherever you tap into the +12v.
