Can someone please tell me if, when claying the car, is it ok to run the clay bar over any stipes on the vehicle? I think it probably is, but I would like to hear from others first. Thanks.

I would avoid stripes.

If the stripes are that bad that you need to attempt clay barring them you need to be very careful. Apply the lubricant very liberally, and try not to put a whole lot of force. It's pretty risque when it comes to vinyl and clay bar so I would use caution.

Obviously if the stripes are painted on, then you have no problem as you are just clay barring paint as normal.

Anybody know if the 2016 factory "over the top" stripes have clear coat on them and/or are they safe to clay?
