I just bought a set of the Raxiom tail light sequencers. Can anyone tell me how to remove the trunk trim panel that exposes the tail light wiring harness? I took a look at it this morning and it didn't seem obvious how to do it.

I think CJ Pony Parts has the video on how to do it. From what i understand it is very straightforward.

I couldn't find an installation video on CJ's web site. I don't think they even sell the Raxiom sequencers for the 2015s (yet).

I wish I would have seen Brownw01's installation steps before I attempted it myself. I also couldn't find any other instructions online that show what is actually required to reach the tail light wiring harness connections on the 2015s. The one video I did see of a 2015 installation on You Tube skips over all that (probably on purpose):

I can tell you that it definitely isn't "a super easy 5 minute install" for the 2015s. I think this assessment must apply to the 2010 to 2014 model years.

I also have the Shaker audio system. So, I can confirm Brownw01's instructions that unbolting the trunk sub is required in order to reach the passenger side connection. And, there is a vertical support bar for the trunk sub that makes unplugging the connection a real pain in the ass -- even with the sub slid out of the way. I had to walk away a few times out of frustration. This part alone took me over 30 minutes. :frusty:

One thing I will add is that the black plastic interior trim panel between the two tail lights can be removed by unscrewing the four cargo net knobs. Once they are removed, the trim panel comes out by lifting it up first and then off of the four threaded studs (for the cargo net knobs). This is the easiest part of the disassembly. After this step, I recommend patience and several beers if you have the Shaker audio system.

I bought these for my 14 and put them on my 15, it was easier on the 14 but it is still pretty easy on the 15, just unscrew and bend back the plastic on each side and just plug them in. Though it would be pain if you have the sub. The ones from 11-14 with work on the 15 with no issues, it's all the same.

how much was this mod? And you are definitely liking the sequencing for the brake lights? Love the hazards, Just on the fence about brake lights.
Tks

That's exactly how I feel. I'm a little hesitant about altering the brake lights. Oh, and I looked it up. It's $125 from American Muscle.

I bought the Raxioms from American Muscle. So, this mod cost me the price they currently have them on sale for (minus the 6% forum discount), plus my time. Time is money too. I may not have gotten them right now if I had been aware of the added levels of frustration doing the installation. Now that it's all done, however, I couldn't be happier with the results. I love the extra sequencing modes: braking, hazards, and lock/unlock. :D

I wouldn't worry too much about the brake sequencing mode. In fact, this mode is why I bought them. It only goes through the sequencing once after you put your foot on the brake pedal. After that, the brake lights are normal. I view it as an added safety feature/attention getter. The guy in the You Tube video above must have put his foot on the brake pedal twice.

I did not think about the lock/unlock. :)

I know the you tube guy had pressed the the brake two times. But I really wished he would have held the brake on for like 3 seconds with say a 2 second break between brake presses and maybe a four cycles of that. I found myself trying to rewind it numerous times to try to get a better sense of what it felt like. (just me)
