This was actually reported months ago. I called AM and even raxiom on their FB page. I think the issue is due to the complexity of the Dash and electronics Raxiom hasn't found one that they can re-brand and make it easy to install. I haven't seen the install logs or pics from ANY of the guys that have bought the chinese units. In this day and age with 99% of cellphones having cameras getting a pic up here should be a 5 second thing but this is not the case.

I mean they are not OBLIGED to do it but if they get pissed off that ppl are like hey post a pic of this amazing thing your doing that were all interested in and they dont well thats just lame.

I personally traded my car and got a GT JUST FOR the premium trims, sync and electronics. I would be more interested if Raxiom started carrying these, warrantying them and shipping them from the USA.

AR4CE - Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing what they're going to have brought out and as soon as I hear what's up their sleeves I'll make sure to make a thread here!

As long as it's plug and play, I'll probably get one. Ideally they'd make some upgrades like iphone interface or at least pre-outs for amps.

I've done this methoid also. You need the screen and any apim. Doesn't need to be Nav already. Wires still need to be moved and added if a base unit and there is no bezel available. Zackmd1 has one coming. We have two models, but neither is for sale...yet.

My car has been the "test dummy" for many different systems. All have pros and cons.

A very good friend is actually working with zestech, a chinese manufactor, for a completed plug and play unit of quality that we'd expect here in the USA. A "major" company contacted him and is the process of " obtaining " the rights. We have five...yes five (5) working prototypes of vering quality already. The issues is price point. Expected retail is from $500-1500. Depending on which one.

Prototype #2 bezel.
