I've been hearing a rattle on the passenger side of the car. Can't tell if it is from the door panel or the glove box. It seems to not matter if music is on or not. I remember hearing something from SubaruWRXFan on youtube say that it happened to him but don't remember if it went away. Any ideas please let me know. Thanks!

I had rattling on the door panel of the driver's side when the music was on.

Dealer and I figured out that the bass resonating from the door speakers would cause one of the cables inside the door panel to vibrate and thus produce the rattling sound. They took the door panel apart and taped/holstered the cables firmly to fix the issue.

Not sure if we have the same issue, but hope that sheds some light!

I started having the same issue just yesterday. I have an appt tomorrow to have it fixed. It almost sounds like a metallic rattle.

Check the passenger seatbelt, likes to hang around and bounce between the seat and the door.

and sometimes at low temp the windows do not get closed properly due to frost , so just open and close them ...just a check

Definitely not these two things. It sounds like a metal BB on a vibrating metal slab. Very high frequency and constant at 50 MPH or more. That's the odd thing, it's not dependent on RPMs but instead ground speed.

It's driving me crazy that I can't isolate it because my wife is afraid to drive the GT because she's afraid she'll pop the clutch and end up in a ditch somewhere. I have the feeling if I could get some time in the passenger seat I could figure out at least where it's coming from.

I thought I had a rattle on the passenger side and only heard it at higher speeds. Was driving me nuts for an entire day. Believe it or not it was something sticky stuck to my wheel and it was making noise as the wheel turned. I pulled it off and the noise was gone. Long shot, I know, but check your wheel.

Thanks for the ideas, it is definitely passenger side, not the window or the seatbelt. I'll check the glove box and door panel tomorrow and if I can't figure it I'll bring it to Ford

I had to postpone my appt to tomorrow morning as I was in meetings all day and couldn't get away. Thanks Rachel!

Sure thing! Were they able to diagnose and repair the rattle?

I have a rattle coming from the passenger window as well, dealer has not been able to find/fix problem. Happened soon after they replaced the passenger door handle which had chrome pealing off. Going on my 4th appointment after I brought my car in for the chrome issue. Now I'm also having the "Camera not available" when backing up.
