I love this car! Today on the Million Dollar Highway, Ouray, Silverton, Red Mountain Pass, Molas Pass, Dallas Divide, and Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

Wow, great car but better scenery! Saw a show about the million dollar mile highway awhile ago and said bucket list. Your pictures seal it! Great photos!

What sold me on the color was my visit to Dover Raceway where Ford Performance had a huge display with a GT500, Mach 1 and a Raptor. All in Rapid Red. You can tell the display vehicles were ceramic coated and the suns reflection really made it pop. It was heavenly. I ended up getting a great fantastic deal on a 2019 GT PP1 in Ruby that I couldn't pass up. The color is close, but I'm still partial to the Rapid. The tinted clear coat gives it a great look too. I read somewhere that there's a bit of orange in the Rapid Red that give it a lighter look.
For those that love this color, Mazda has a color called Soul Red Crystal. If I ever do a resto mod, I'm using this color.

BTW: I hate when people call it maroon.

After a 7 month wait I finally have my Rapid Red 2022 GT. They take a long time to get to Australia.

I was disappointed when they discontinued Ruby Red but I am very happy with my new Rapid Red.

Yes, I wasn't sure about them in pictures but in real life they are subtle enough to not be gaudy. I think anyway.

Just installed the Steeda magnaride springs with FP caster camber plates. Very happy with the look now it’s perfect now.

A good comparison of Rapid Red (on the left) and Ruby Red. Rapid appears less "vibrant" than Ruby.....in photos at least. These two are in a UK showroom

You see the diff in the sun with rapid red. The metal flake pops!!!!!!! Ruby doesnt

I had a ruby red F-150 Raptor before my rapid red Mustang GT and yes... The ruby red was a bit brighter but they were pretty close. I almost bought a race red Mustang but decided it was a bit too "loud" of a color choice for me.

I have a Ruby Red GT, but my inspiration for that color was a Ford Performance display at Dover Raceway where they had a Mach 1, GT 500 and a Raptor, all in Rapid Red, on display.
The two colors are close, but the Rapid Red is lighter and seems to pop more in the sun than my car does. I was fortunate to park next to a Rapid Red Mustang at our local mustang club meet and his car definitely had more pop. Mine was a little darker, more muted than his car.
It's important to keep this color clean and polished or someone will call it "maroon". I fre*k'n hate that.

Exactly. When clean and in the sun Rapid Red POPS. Dare we call it modern candy apple red??

In the SUN, 1000%.. =) In the shade or clouds looks Merlo-ish!!!!!!! lol
