Random Question: Garage Feature

I have not been able to figure out what the "Featured" function does in the garage page. At first I thought the website picked cars at random or highly viewed cars but then I saw that you can set it yourself at any time. What is this function used for??

I still see cars with the "Featured" banner so I would say it is not fixed yet
