Does anyone have any feedback on the R1 Concepts Brakes? Specifically, I'm looking at their Big Brake Kits ( Big Brake Kits | R1 Concepts ) I have a 2022 Mach 1 and am looking to move from 19" wheels to 20" wheels. As part of that, I was considering running larger brake rotors. To be clear, I don't track the car and just like the look of larger slotted rotors. I really like that R1 brakes allow you to have color on the rotor hats, which I think looks really good. That said, I have a tuned car with headers and want a good quality set of brakes with excellent stopping power. I've search the forum and see that people have used their pads. Does anyone have any feedback on their complete brake kits and especially the Big Brake Kits? Thanks.

I have never run them personally, on one of mine. I’ve always used either Baer or Brembo. I wouldn’t expect a big difference over the Brembo that I assume are on your Mach. Since you don’t track the car, personally, I would just upgrade the rotors for the visual and leave the stock Brembo’s alone. You can upgrade to two piece rotors and paint the hats yourself. Super easy and much less money.

Please stay away from anything R1 concepts. I tried both their high end carbon and geomet rotors with ceramic pads on my Lexus GX and they are crappy. Within 8-10k miles the rotors warped and the ceramic pads were generating lot of dust despite being ceramic.

Thanks for letting me know. I will do what @DadzMach suggested.

Cheap shit. Run them on my daily and not very impressed. Would never run them on a Mach 1.

If you want bigger brakes than what you already have your best option is something from the Shelby models like the GT350 or GT500 or moving into a 4 wheel setup from someone like AP Racing.
