So my OEM tires are nearing the end of their life. I have the 051a v6 so my factory tire size is 235 for an 8" wide rim. The question, could I go up to a 255? Say 255/45r18? The idea is to get a bit more beefy look without purchasing new rims which I do not have funds for. I would love to fit a 275 on it as that is my ideal tire size but that is way to wide for an 8" rim from my understanding. Any comments appreciated!

You're sinking too much money into your toggle switches ;)

255 aren't ideal, but no safety or serious handling issues either.
