I have an appointment at 10 today (in about an hour and a half) to get an amp and front speakers installed. I have the OEM programmer to remove the factory processing, and used that this morning. But, I can't really tell a difference in sound! Well, not at 6 this morning anyway.

I was expecting the output to be vastly reduced, but it sounded the same volume.

Is something goofed? I don't want to fry a brand new amp or buy a LOC that I don't really need.

Any advice appreciated!

If you have the 9 or 12 speaker system, there's still a bunch of processing going on in the factory amp if I remember correctly. You probably won't notice a big difference until that's out of the mix. I think the point behind the acm fix is so that the headunit won't clip the signal to your new amp and speakers as you turn up the volume.
