Hit the 5k mark today and thought I'd share some points that stuck out to me so far. Car is a 400A.
  • LOVE it overall, is super fun as a DD
  • Exhaust is a must on this car, too damn quiet. Still debating which system I'll go with.
  • SYNC can be great at times, really buggy other times which can be frustrating in traffic. If you don't already have an S550 and are going to get a premium model, I'd recommend waiting for 2016.
  • MT is a love/hate relationship. Hella fun, like the relatively short throws, but def not the most refined transmission.
  • PP TIRES ARE NOT ADEQUETE. Especially when theres a puddle or something that gets them slightly wet, can scare the shit out of you.
  • Track mode is fun for DD. :D
  • Car makes a lot of weird noises that aren't a huge deal, but that I've also never experienced in another car. Not just talking about mechanical noises, this is the first car I've ever driven/riden in that makes noise when the seat heaters are turned on.
  • Was getting a surprisingly good 28mpg average during a trip today, until some camaros wanted to have fun. MPG is very, very dependent on the right foot. Average for the ~100 mile trip dropped from 28 to 22 real quick.
  • Paint on this car sucks. Brake squeal sucks. Hopefully will get brakes fixed soon, but no real fix for the super soft paint. Kinda regretting not getting a clear bra initially.
  • Was debating between a brz, 2014 GT, Camaro SS, 2015 EB, and 2015 GT, challenger scat pack, and used m3. 5k miles in, absolutely no regrets on getting the 2015 GT. Not as nimble as the brz or m3, but better in every way compared to the rest of the list. Compared to the m3, I think it's close, but I wouldn't want to live with a used m3 with the kind of mileage I put on the car. And while the brz is super fun to toss around, most of my driving isn't on very tight curvy roads. For the majority of my time on the road, 435hp is way more fun.
  • GET THE PP if you're at all debating. I wasn't able to find a car with one in the window I had to buy a car, and it's my only (sorta) regret.

Don't know what it is about the challengers, love em, but could never bring myself to buy one. Just too boring behind the wheel!

Next car I'm thinking about adding to the stable will probably be a charger. If you go into it think "I'm only going to use this for a roomy car and a burnout machine" I think it'd go pretty well haha.

Edit: I meant challenger, but charger could be a possible add too.

Really, the paint is that soft? I feel like the paint on my '07 stang is indestructible.

I agree with most of what you said. I am glad I did get the Clear bra, because the paint is soft. I accidently opened my door too wide the other week and softly tapped an older white minivan and the paint transferred very easily. You could clearly see the blue on the van. I only have 2K miles on my 4 month old car because it's not a DD. So far so good. I can't wait to get my quad exhausts on.

Which quad exhaust are you getting? Sounds awesome looking forward to seeing how it looks.

And yep, I try to avoid rock chips as much as possible but already have a bunch on the front end. Have just learned to accept it, and maybe will get the front end resprayed in a couple years.

Just test drove GT PP and GT non-PP today back2back and I'm more torn on which to get than ever before. I really really want the brembos, stiffer chassis, and 19" wheels (without having to buy aftermarket) but I'm not much of a fan of the 3.73 gears. I really wish PP had the option of lowering the gears to 3.55 or even 3.31s like the regular GT. I LOVED the planted feel of the PP, especially in corners, but I much preferred the less-aggressive gears, which was much easier in traffic and felt like a comfortable DD, which mine will be.

Don't know which to choose. I spent a solid hour with both today, and this was the 3rd time I have done a test drive of the 2015s overall. I'm not sure more test driving will convince me one way or the other at this point. 6 weeks to decide...

I had this same debate, decided on a non PP, then changed my mind & went PP. Pretty much for the same reasons you stated, that as a DD the 3.73's were a bit short. Not having a spare also bugs me a little. In the end I loved the feel of the chassis & brakes enough that I just rolled with it. I just skip gears a lot when driving around town.

I would advise you to do this as well. You can add parts as good or better than the PP to a non-PP, but it will be more expensive in the long run and some of the little touches, like the front splitter and the gauges, are very cost-prohibitive. The only thing I prefer about the non-PP car is the IMO nicer interior trim.

I don't think PP has anything to do with having a spare since my non-PP didn't come with a spare either.

I have a custom clear-bra (full frontal surfaces) and wrapped the hood and mirrors in vinyl - so cant speak as to whether the paint is soft. But it doesnt seem like it has orange peel or anything like that. I dunno if the TY (an extra cost option) is more sturdy, but the exposed surfaces have no swirl marks, scratches or chips - that said, most of my car is protected (I avoided driving it on the freeway until I got the stuff installed).
