It is probably 409 stainless. It will "oxidize" and develop a patchy appearance that can resemble the early stages of rust. It won't actually rust however.

If you want a stainless exhaust that will maintain it's appearance better get one made from 304 stainless. Yes it will cost more but it is what it is.
Sure looks like rust to me, but you are probably right. No worries because they will be replaced as soon as my Ford Racing Catbacks get here.

Congrats on an awesome ride. The 2015 Mustang has the best ass in motoring not built in Italy.

Here are my initial thoughts on my new GT w/ PP.

- Handles incredible. As good as my Porsche Boxster.
- Sounds great. A little quiet, but nice sound.
- Clutch components are a little noisey. Hoping they quiet down with break in.
- The "thud" people are referring to is simply like the syncro's. Here is the instant fix for it. Follow the link... http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13832
- Interior and cloth seats are nice. Comparable to my GTI which was very good.
- Have not reved it over 5,000 RPM but power is very good.
- Fun to drive.
- Not SUV comfort, but liveable as a daily driver.
- Rides very firm. Actually surprised how firm it rides compared to the 2014.
- Solid body and stiffness.
- Body panel fitment is just OK. Could be better, but I'm used to German cars.
- I've seen several reviews about this car being too refined...that is bull shit. The car is finally built right, and in my opinion it still has a Mustang feel, especially with the tranny and shifter.
- Visibility is decent for a fastback car. Thankful for the rear seat side windows which give that extra visibility.
- The base sound system isn't horrible, but I can see adding an amp and better speakers someday.
- Car looks damn SEXY! Great job Ford.
- Sooooo many people look at this car when I'm out.
- How can the stainless steel exhaust pipes be rusted after 2 days in Florida? A moot point because I'm ordering the Ford Racing catbacks...but still this seems weird.
Car look totally agree with you. Thanks for the advice. [emoji2]
