Hi all,

New to Mustangs and have 2018 on order (PP1, Magneride). I was wondering if I would have any issues putting 25mill spacers ? (would it affect the "special tuning" etc... I will only be using as a daily)

I also would like to possibly lower it (would that have a negative impact in anyway)

Thanks for any info.

I wouldn't want my Mustang a single millimeter lower than it already is. I DD it though...

Engineering Explained on youtube has a nice video explaining the effect of spacers. [ame]

You're maybe going to be short on wheel nut thread engagement, in which case you can get the longer ARP studs. It's my understanding that you need to have at least 21 mm of thread engagement and I think you are not going to get it. Some provinces ban spacers with studs, not sure if yours does but you should check.

Thanks for the info so far, I see there is one vid out there showing a guy putting the spacers on his pp mustang... would the wheel threads etc as you mentioned not be the same as the 15-17? being same platform?

I am also a bit confused by this. Can you lower a car with magnetic ride without doing any damage or causing the system tp bug out. Thinking if there are sensors with regards to the ride height or similar. The PP2 comes with re-programmed mag-system and has some lowering thrown in. Is it possible to e.g. just buy the springs that is for PP2 package on a PP1 with magneride? I guess the warranty will be out the door if any issues will arise with regards to the suspension also will the car behave "strange" if lowering springs are mounted.

If I remember it correctly one can get the lowering spring for the Camara 2SS with magnetic ride from GM as an OEM-part

Ford already do lowering springs for the GT350 which works in conjunction with Magneride and should be usable on the GTs
