Question on Borla's carbon fiber tips?

So I just ordered the ATAK active exhaust(from CJPP) and when I pulled everything out I noticed two of the tips were damaged from shipping. At least that's my assumption. One of them is pretty bad but the other has some chips missing. I'll attach some pics to show what is going on.

My question is are those tips removable? I noticed what look to be screws holding them on, so I'm hoping I can just replace them? I had scheduled for getting everything installed this Monday but now that may not be the case.

Side note: I also noticed some "rattling" in each muffler. It sounds like a grain of sand or something very small bouncing around when I shake them. Any idea what that might be?

Update: Got in touch with Chris at Borla and wow definitely see the hype for these guys. Showed him the pictures and he's sending me out a new muffler assembly with everything! So if any of you guys at Borla see this you guys rock.
