So I like the Steeda Trident wheels 19” by 10” for square set up. What is the deal will they fit I am new to this aftermarket wheel stuff. I was thinking 275 or 285 all around. Any information would be helpful. I don’t want to order and make a mistake with fitment.
The 10s should work for a square setup. 285/35 R19s will keep the diameter almost the same as stock 255/40 R19s. I'd recommend something like a +40 offset. Nice wheel choice!

I run 20x10 +35 square in the summer as another example. The Tridents are 19x10 +37 which will also work all day long.
I don't know anyone, apart from people on this forum, with a 35 mm offset in the rear. In my case, its 56. I have never seen the actual gap in the rear of the car in a photo.

Not saying it's not possible, the math just doesn't add up in my head:
On my car. 56 mm offset. 11.5" rim. I have to zip tie the brake lines back so they don't touch the tire (Partially a J&M issue) There is about a fingers width between my wheel and the shock. Outside of wheel is flush.

Now, 40 mm offset on a 10" rim. The center of the wheel sits ~.7" closer in on the car than my wheel does. But the 10" wheel is 1.5" narrower than mine. So .75" on the inside of the wheel, and .75" on the outside of the wheel. In total, I've lost .7" due to the 40 mm offset, and I've also lost .75" of wheel width just on the outside of the wheel. So wouldn't the wheel sit a full 1.5" further in on the car? IE, not be close to flush at all?

Or is the wheel width measured from the face of the wheel?

There is a reason I called Apex when I ordered my wheels, and then had them send me photos LOL
I’m having the same problem as OP. AM tells me a 20x10 40mm offset is rear only. They recommend an 8.5 or 0.5 front only with a no more than 255 tire. Meanwhile, LMR has a 20x10 40mm offset square wheel setup with 275/35/20 front and 305/35/20 rear. I’m rpretty sure the 20x10 40mm offset is fine all around, but these aftermarket suppliers are inconsistent between companies on answers. Can be a very expensive mistake given the wrong answer lol

20x10 +40 you’ll be fine. This is a good site, will give a general idea of what a new wheel/tire setup will look like relative to your existing/stock.

I have been going crazy with different vendors
Some say their wheels will not work with offset of 30 35 and 40 275 and 285 not one straight answer all the same size wheels.
I see photos with them working
I am totally lost and a little nervous about spending money and they don't fit.
I may just go smaller 9.5 square 275 40 19 that's another thing looking up rim to tire size some say 275 is to big for 9.5 wheels ugh!!

I run 20x10 +35 with 285/35/20 tires. Stock suspension. I assure you, 20x10 +35 or +40 will be fine. +40 will pull the wheel in 5mm. Not that +35 pokes (because it doesn’t, it’s flush with the fender), but a +40 will be ever so slightly tucked in (5mm) and will not rub on the suspension. Both offsets are extremely common for a 10” wide wheel for S550.

A 275 will be fine. My stock wheels are 20x9 with 265/35/20. Technically, a 285 fits on a 9” wheel. Look up the wheel tire chart for the recommended sizing.
It is frustrating when reality is different than what the vendors tell you. For pricing, a 20” tire is often a better price over 19” because it is more common. Just depends what type of tire you’re looking at.

So if I go 19x10 35 would I be closer or farther with smaller wheel ?
It might be a dumb question but like I said in the beginning I know absolutely nothing about wheels.
Stupid me when I started shopping wheels I thought I would pick a wheel that looked nice and be done boy was I wrong .

Why are you guys even considering AM for wheels? They have a horrible selection with the worse fitment.

I personally was not looking for them, but I saw they had a wheel that looked nice.
Noticed they said rear only, so I asked them why and they told me it doesn’t fit.
Still looking at LMR and the S350 setup with M/T for a summer setup. LMR has a better reputation and pricing anyways.

From a fitment standpoint between the suspension and the fender? 19x10 will be the exact same as they are the same width and offset. Depending on the size tire you go with, it may be shorter (285/35/19 is much shorter than 285/35/20) so it won’t fill out the wheel well as much. 274/40/19 fits a 10” wheel and will fill out the well more (within a 1/4” of what I run). I personally wouldn’t run a tire wider than 295 on a 10” wheel. 295/35/19 is basically the same diameter as the stock 235/50/18 tires, just wider. 275 or 285 is the ideal fitment on 10”, depending on the brand of tire

Mine pictured above are SVE CFX. Very happy with them so far. Super fast shipping from LMR too. They were at my house within 3 days of ordering

LMR with its SVE wheels are he best bang for the buck. I had a set of their X500 wheels in 19X10 and 19X11, with my S650 (if I end up that route) is where I am going back to.

If you go with the M2, Apex makes really good wheels too and they have some really nice offerings for BMW. Pretty good pricing too (not quite as good as LMR/SVE, that’s tough to beat for a quality wheel)

Yes its the Forged ones, they don't make the flow formed wheels in G87 sizes. I actually like the OEM wheels on the M2. They come standard with in 19X9.5 and 20X10.5, what everyone is dissappointed with is the fact they are an exact copy of the M3/4 wheels but they aren't forged like the M3/M4 and therefore weigh about 5-6lbs lighter than the BMW M2 930 wheels. I am just going to run some 12mm spacers on all 4 corners and it really brings out the looks with the M2.

Sorry for the thread jack but an M2 with spacers and a mild drop with Eibach springs.
