I have a 2019 GT with the A10 automatic. The question I have is there is the "D" selection for drive obviously and then there is "S" selection, I suppose this stands for "sport" but what exactly does this do and can you use it for normal driving?

Yes its a more aggressive mode for the transmission shifts and overall logic. It will also allow you to use the paddle shifters to enable full manual mode if you wish.

The Sport mode is a much more fun mode to drive in than D. Give it a try!

I have used it a couple of times and like it a hell of alot more than just the regular "drive" mode. Thanks for the info!

I never use D. It’s always S and Sport +.

I daily drive my A10 110 miles a day. The “S” is definitely more aggressive as already mentioned. I use “D” a lot due to my drive....but I have compared the two on the daily drive, “S” is more fun but about 2 Mpg less than the “D”........

What I dont get is if there is a difference between putting the car in “S” vs toggling to “S+”?

I believe toggling to S+, sets some behind the scenes settings, no?
When I use it, I feel as if the car has more of a 'race mode'. Whereas shifting to S, allows paddles and such, but, I don't feel like the suspension and other 'stuff' changes...

I "feel" that the S+ is more refined in the shifting, both up/down, than just S on the sifter. My A10 sometimes hunts for the right gear in S. S+ (toggle) seems to be dialed in a bit more. My opinion however.

Also S+ toggles to sport steering and to sport exhaust mode too, if you have it.. This does not happen automatically if you just shift to S. Same thing with Track (track exhaust mode)

So I "D" and then toggle to S+ all the time.

How do I find "Sport+?"
It's only available if you have the option that includes the Drive Mode toggle switch. If you look at the toggles and you see one that says "Mode" you can toggle the switch upwards and it will give you Sport+, track & Drag modes in the little screen between the speedo and tach. It would be the switch on the far right if you have it.

there wouldn't be suspension changes unless you have magride

Ah, well, I guess what DOES change when using the Sport + (toggle button)?
Shift points, throttle mapping, exhaust noise if you have active exhaust, upshift speed, time held in gear, downshift points, rev matching.

Basically sport + is more aggressive than sport.
Track is more aggressive and removes some features of traction control.

Drag mode removes all torque management

Im getting an A10 also and coming from a mag ride car with about 10 different suspension settings I am curious as well. So no suspension changes like a stiffer ride? What about a stiffer steering? Im pretty sure each setting does adjust the nanny controls a little different.

On non-mag models, no suspension changes. Sport+ and Track mode change to Sport steering. I forget if drag mode changes steering. Normal and rain/snow mode = normal steering mode

you can also change steering independent of the mode switch.

The base and pp suspension is not adjustable, period.
