Quest for perfect sound (gt350)

seems recently there has been alot of talk about exhaust sound on here and people trying to find "that sound". im very aware that without the flat plane the true sound cant be replicated. but i think the tone could come close. i have few options in mind. want to hear what you guys think. im coming from kooks lt with corsa extreme. i dont the low end tone or top end its tge part throttle rasp i hate. so here are options. keep in mind that all these options will be with long tubes.

1. long tubes. resonated h or x with gt500 mufflers

2. long tubes. resonated x or h with borla ford racing touring.

3.long tubes. with awe touring and a h pipe

4. long tubes. resonated h with corsa touring.

any other options?

The absolute closest to the GT350 is going to be the Corsa Xtreme. I would try adding some super short Inline resonators like what [MENTION=15379]MikeyPee[/MENTION] did:

It will deepen it up a little and kill the rasp.

I have an h-pipe with Corsa Touring and I'm extremely happy with it. Sounds to my ears about as close as I will get to a stock GT350R sound.

Placement can matter, yes. Doing it before the mufflers should retain more of the volume. They will not drone.

The double X-pipe is going to give you closer to the tone you're looking for than the H. There isn't room to do it on that piece.

The touring axleback is definitely deeper and, as part of the sport catback, is a fantastic sounding exhaust. They're also quite a bit quieter. Long tubes with Corsa sport is roughly the same volume as Xtremes with stock headers. If you're OK with that, you'll like it, as the long tubes change the pitch. The Xtreme mufflers (sport axleback) have a more exotic note and is the closest thing to the GT350 I've heard (and I've driven them too), though the 5.0 with the Xtreme catback is louder than the R.

not too loud at idle and normal cruising with the stock base GT mufflers, but
holy fack @ wide open throttle (no rasp, all deep roar). I don't think most people realise how loud those
stock mufflers are at full boogie without the suitcase! Zero drone too! This is with cats & stock shorties.

Whoever said that Coyote engines can't do that 'classic American V8 sound' was wrong IMO.

Yes. The perforated tube will kill rasp and enhance the deeper and tones.
